Kids Fishing Class 9/5

Fishing class KMKids 3 -11 are free with an adult paid admission class

Youth ages 12 and up Fish independently (no adult co-angler required)

In this one and half hour class  you will learn:SCDNR fishes

  • What a spin casting reel is!
  • Basic spin casting fishing skills: casting, safety,
  • Identify different types of rods and reels including parts & how used
  • Learn to tie fishing knots
  • Learn five artificial lures and some natural bait
  • Get the skills to potentially catch fish! That’s Why they call it FISHING instead of CATCHING!
  • Learn what lives in Lake Crawford!

    • Fishing safety
    • Identify different types of rods and reels including parts & how used
    • Learn fishing knots
    • Learn five artificial lures and some natural bait
    • Native fish species
    • Pole & bait for use in class is provided.
    • Review of the Leave No Trace Fishing Principals
    • Taught by Veteran Fishermen.

Our Fishing Clinic is a 1.5 hr class  learn basic spin casting fishing skills,
native fish species, pole & bait for use in class is provided. Taught by Veteran Fishermen.

Advanced registration is Only $6.54 ($2 Park admission fee is included)

ages 12 and up, fish independently

ages 4 – 11 includes a free adult,Eagle Thanks

additional child is $3 each, up to two more children

$7 onsite, additional child is $3 each, up to two more children

Meet South Carolina’s Kings Mountain State Park – Meet at the Lake Crawford Day Use Area lake is on left before picnic area and play ground
