This workshop for all elementary teachers, is a Cornell Lab of Ornithology BirdSleuth K-12 Program. Attendees will receive a free Pennington bird feeder, bird seed coupons, student handouts, and “Feathered Friends” activities. During the workshop, you will learn tips and get resources that will help you get your students outdoors and excited about birds. “Feeding Our Feathered Friends,” will help you discover how to use it to attract birds and student interest! Through schoolyard habitat improvements, students discover the characteristics that create good habitat for birds and other wildlife. Come learn about grants and resources and take a bird feeder back to your school in our second workshop “Putting Students’ Schoolyard Habitat Improvements on the Map.”
