A Wise Woman wrote as she was describing her teens “Which is why it’s so important that they be nudged outside whenever possible. Once they’re out, the lure of nature takes hold and all of the captivating wonders change their outlook and demeanor. They reconnect with their senses and remember that there are wonders outside of a computer screen.”
“While this weekend (spent in GSMNP) was filled with small, outwardly unremarkable adventures, they were memorable nonetheless. The little moments when their eyes are filled with amazement at a new discovery or when I see the baggage of urban life melt off of their shoulders are the ones that make the effort worthwhile. And when they tell me how cool the Smokies are, that’s a big enough moment for me.”
So eloquently expressed, graciously shared and preciously poignant. Much Love BABY SISTER! Karan
