Computer Basics is a three-hour module that provides an overview of basic and necessary
computing skills. The participant will learn to manipulate the keyboard and mouse
while creating simple text documents. An emphasis will be placed on computer literacy
in easy to understand terms - no technical jargon!
There are nine areas of focus within Computer Basics training:
An overview of basic computer terminology
Measuring computer information
Using your computer (the mouse, word processors, creating and saving files, formatting text)
Printing and closing files
Opening and deleting files
Restoring deleted files
Turning off your computer
