Using Queens University as our venue will enable students to have access to a Platinum LEED building, laboratory rooms, a green house, theater, and water tables. Get STEMED will involve a virtual trip across the habitats of the North Carolina including the Mountains, Piedmont, and Coastal Regions. These regions will be represented in the different building floors and each level must be reached to complete the expedition. We will have water tables, river systems, water quality testing, an adventure course, Geospatial information class, flora & fauna. As an expedition participant, you will receive prizes for your discoveries and participation.

This event will be staffed by E-Corps specialists (Environmental Educators & Scientists, Certified CMS teachers, Wildlife Conservationist) and volunteer students from the university who are eager in getting these age groups interested in the STEM subject fields and will be able to integrate the fresh components of GIS technology. By teaching from an environmental education standpoint, children will be able to connect and integrate what they learn at the event into their everyday life.
